At Onit Events, we’re not just in the business of throwing parties; we’re in the business of creating unforgettable experiences. Founded by a group of passionate students, our mission from day one has been clear: to craft epic student nights, by students, for students. This unique perspective is what sets us apart and drives our commitment to delivering events that are as much about the people as they are about the party.
Our journey began in 2010 at the vibrant Destiny and Elite nightclub, where we launched our first weekly event. It didn’t take long for us to make our mark, and soon we were taking Chester by storm with our legendary Wednesday nights at Rosies. For 12 years, Rosies was home to what became Chester’s biggest and best student night, a testament to our dedication and the incredible community that supported us.
But we’re not ones to rest on our laurels. As our vision expanded, so did our horizons. In 2024, we embarked on a new chapter, partnering with multiple venues to bring not just student nights, but epic weekend parties and our own lineup of unique festivals right here in Chester. Our events have featured a stellar roster of artists including Stormzy, DJ Jazzy Jess, Skepta, Chip, Tinchy Stryder, Charlie Sloth, Dappy, and many more, transforming Chester into a vibrant hub of live entertainment.
From our roots in student nights to our current ventures into massive weekend bashes and innovative festivals, our core mission remains the same: to create events that resonate with the community and deliver unforgettable moments. We’re excited about the future and grateful for the incredible support that has fueled our journey.

The Evolution of Onit Wednesdays
At Onit Events, we saw a clear gap in the market for student nightlife back in 2010. Students wanted more than just a standard night out; they craved a vibrant, dynamic experience tailored just for them. So, we took it upon ourselves to listen, adapt, and deliver precisely what the students wanted, in the way they wanted it.
In 2012, we took our Wednesday night to Rosies, where we built an unrivaled reputation and became synonymous with Chester’s ultimate student night. For over a decade, Rosies was the heartbeat of our weekly events, consistently delivering unforgettable nights and solidifying our place in Chester’s nightlife scene, however, it was time for a change.
Innovation drives us and In recent years, we’ve expanded our vision to provide students with an even more immersive and exciting experience. Our revamped Wednesday nights now encompass a wristband offer that grants unbelievable value in five diverse venues across the city, all leading to our brand new partner venue, Off The Wall. This initiative not only offers students exceptional value for their money but also elevates their night out with a variety of atmospheres and experiences all in one evening.
From our humble beginnings to our current multi-venue extravaganza, our mission has remained the same: to create memorable, student-focused events that exceed expectations. We’re proud of how our Wednesday nights have evolved and are excited to continue bringing Chester’s student community the best in nightlife.
